The trails connect Carrollton neighborhoods, The University of West Georgia, several parks, Carrollton City School Campus as well as local merchants.

Just 13 miles northwest of Atlanta is The Silver Comet Trail. This massive paved bike and pedestrian path spans across Cobb, Paulding, and Polk counties. The path is designed for walking, biking, rollerblading, skating, and even horseback riding. The smooth concrete surface also works for those in wheelchairs.
The Silver Comet Trail is unique among road bike trails Georgia in that it was built along abandoned railroad lines. The trail combines with The Chief Ladiga trail and creates over 94 miles of paved bike paths.
